PTA Commitee

The PTA at Morazha Co-operative Arts and Science College is a statutory body annually elected from the members in a democratic way according to the rules of the governing body, Kannur University and the Government of Kerala.

Objectives of the PTA Commitee :

Collaboration: Foster and promote a constructive and positive relationship among the faculty, students, and parents/guardians to ensure a supportive academic environment.
Institutional Support: Assist in the smooth functioning of the college in areas such as academic discipline, infrastructure, student welfare, and overall institutional development.
Academic Excellence: Encourage and help maintain high academic standards, good discipline, student engagement in learning, and participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Parental Involvement: Facilitate active participation of parents and guardians in students’ education by keeping them informed about progress, issues, and institutional programs, thereby fostering accountability and shared ownership.
Resource Mobilization: Mobilize and allocate resources such as funds, parent expertise, and valuable suggestions for student welfare, scholarships, infrastructural development, and support for academically weaker students.

Activities and Initiatives:

General Body Meetings: Organize meetings of parents/guardians and teaching staff to review institutional matters, student performance, and infrastructure, providing a platform for discussion and constructive feedback.
Executive Committee Meetings: Conduct frequent meetings to make decisions on routine matters such as fund allocations, student welfare, disciplinary concerns, and infrastructure upgrades.
Communication Forum: Serve as a medium of communication between teachers and parents — enabling teachers to share academic progress, attendance, and discipline updates, while allowing parents to voice their concerns and suggestions.
Institutional Support: Assist the college in enhancing facilities such as library resources, transportation, hostel support, sports and cultural activities, security, and infrastructure development.
Fund Mobilization: Generate and manage funds through membership fees, donations, and contributions towards scholarships, prizes, and student support initiatives, administered by the executive committee under the guidance of the general body.
Student Welfare: Promote and monitor student welfare through scholarships for meritorious or economically weak students, awards for academic excellence, support for co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and counseling sessions involving teachers and parents.
