Rules to follow

College Rules & Regulations

1 Anti-Ragging Policy

Ragging is strictly prohibited. Students found guilty will face strict disciplinary and legal actions in accordance with anti-ragging laws.

2 Discipline

Students are expected to maintain courteous behavior within classrooms and throughout the campus.

  • Any form of disrespect towards faculty will be considered a serious offense
  • Leaving the classroom without permission or entering other classrooms is not allowed
  • Organizing or participating in public meetings, gatherings, demonstrations without written approval from the Principal is prohibited
  • Students should not gather at the main entrance, loiter in the parking area, or sit in parked vehicles
  • Picturising Reels or documentaries within the campus without permission is strictly prohibited

3 Attendance

Students are required to maintain regular attendance in all scheduled academic and co-curricular activities.

  • Classes begin at 9:30 AM and end by 3:30 PM
  • A grace period of 5 minutes is allowed
  • Arriving later results in loss of half-day attendance
  • Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance for university examinations
  • Absence for more than 15 consecutive working days without valid explanation will result in removal from college roll

4 Dress Code

Students are required to wear the prescribed uniform on all working days except Wednesdays. Any exception must be approved by the Principal.

5 Identity Card

Wearing a valid ID card is mandatory within the campus. Students must have their ID to attend classes and access the campus.

6 Green Protocol

The college follows a strict Green Campus policy.

  • Events must avoid using plastic materials such as flex banners, plastic bottles, and decorative items
  • Students must use waste bins and ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste materials

7 Mobile Phones

The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited on campus.

  • Students who bring phones for safety reasons must deposit them at designated places as instructed by the HoD
  • Violation of this rule will lead to confiscation of the device and disciplinary action

8 Conduct

Students must comply with all instructions issued by the Principal, faculty, and college authorities.

  • Disobeying instructions is regarded as serious misconduct
  • Students must show respect to non-teaching staff
  • For academic concerns, approach the Principal
  • For administrative issues, approach the Admin Executive Officer

9 Road Safety

Students who use vehicles must follow traffic regulations and institutional rules.

  • Two-wheeler riders must wear helmets
  • Four-wheeler drivers must use seat belts
  • Speed limit on campus: 20 km/h
  • Vehicles must be parked in designated areas in an orderly manner
  • Sitting on parked vehicles is not allowed

10 Tours and Picnics

Students are not allowed to organize tours or picnics on their own. All outings must follow the college tour protocol.

11 Anti-Drug Policy

The use of tobacco, alcohol, or narcotic substances is strictly forbidden. Violations will lead to expulsion and possible legal action.

12 Cleanliness

Students must maintain the cleanliness of classrooms, furniture, washrooms, and equipment.

  • No posters or stickers may be affixed to walls
  • Writing or drawing on furniture or walls is strictly prohibited and will result in fines

13 Library Rules

  • A valid library ID card is required for access
  • Students must attend the library during scheduled library hours
  • Books can be borrowed for seven days and must be returned on the eighth day
  • Delays or loss of books will incur monetary penalties

14 Fee Payment

  • Fees are collected at the college office as per the Principal's notification each semester
  • A fine will be levied for late payments
  • Failure to pay fees within deadline will result in removal from college rolls

15 Outsiders

No outsider is permitted to meet students or staff on campus without the Principal's written approval.

16 Collection of Money

Students are not allowed to collect money for any purpose without prior written permission from the Principal.

17 Parents/Guardians

Only parents or legal guardians may attend PTA meetings or communicate with the faculty or administration. Contact details must be provided at the time of admission.

18 Campus Regulations

  • Students are expected to leave campus within one hour after class unless they have official permission
  • Gathering at the entrance, parking area, or surrounding spaces is prohibited
  • As part of Green Protocol, students must avoid bringing plastic items

19 Grievances and Complaints

Students may submit complaints orally or in writing to their tutor, HoD, or Principal, depending on the nature of the issue. Alternatively, they may approach the college grievance redressal cell.

20 College Bus

Students are expected to behave in a proper manner in the college bus.

  • They have to carry the bus pass while travelling
  • Present the pass to the driver or official whenever asked

National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It aims to develop the personality of students through community service. NSS is built on three core pillars: student volunteers, teachers, and the community.

  • NSS Unit no. 78 functions at Morazha Co-operative Arts & Science College since 2008.
